The Society offers a research facility to members and non-members.
As this work is undertaken on a voluntary basis we would ask for your patience.
The Society does not research full family trees nor does it look for living relatives.

The more information you provide the more likely the search will be successful though we cannot guarantee that we will find your ancestor.
Disabled and distant members are allowed 1 free research query which involves a look-up in records held in our Research Centre provided enough information is given.

Summary of Charges

Birth, Marriage & Death certificate transcription 1855 to present

Members   £2 for first look-up and £1 for subsequent look-ups

Non-Members   £4 for first look-up and £2 for subsequent look-ups

Census (1851-1901) (We have most areas of Lanarkshire)
OPR's (Lanarkshire)

Members   £2 per look-up in an indexed file or if frame no. supplied
£4 per look-up for complex searches.

Non-Members   £3 per look-up in an indexed file or if frame no. supplied
£5 per look-up for complex searches.
